The Reiki system is based on the belief that we all have an innate ability to tap into our own inner power and use it to create positive change in our lives.
This is done by using the Universal Life Force Energy (also referred to as Ki) which flows through us all.
We can access this energy through our hands and use it to balance and heal ourselves and others.

How Does Reiki Work?
There are two main types of Reiki: Traditional Reiki and Healing Touch. Both work very similarly but they do differ slightly in some ways.
Traditional Reiki uses the same symbols as Healing Touch but there are slight differences in the way the treatment is given. For example,
Traditional Reiki practitioners will often touch the client’s feet before beginning the treatment while Healing Touch practitioners usually start at the top of the client’s body.
Healing Touch is a more gentle type of Reiki where the practitioner focuses on the client’s whole body rather than just one area. They may also use their hands to gently massage the client’s muscles and joints.
Both methods of Reiki are used to treat physical ailments such as stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, pain, and many other conditions. As a result, both forms of Reiki are considered complementary therapies.
Why Should I Use Reiki?
Reiki is a great alternative complement to conventional medicine because it doesn't involve drugs or surgery.
Instead, it works by balancing the mind and body so that the person receiving the treatment feels better physically and emotionally.
